Off to a Great Start at the MTC!
Elder Cannon Thorn has officially begun his missionary journey! He’s currently at the Provo Missionary Training Center (MTC) preparing to serve in the Kiribati Islands—and from the sound of it, he's loving every minute so far.
We were lucky to catch a quick FaceTime with him this week, and even though it was short, it was enough to hear the excitement in his voice. He says life at the MTC is like school, but without the stress. His district has 18 missionaries, and he says they all get along really well. They’ve been spending a lot of time getting to know one another and sharing their personal journeys—which has really helped them bond. Cannon said he genuinely likes everyone and feels grateful to be in his large District. He was even able to speak a little Kiribati which sounded unique:)
We’re so proud of him and can already see how much he’s growing. He’s soaking up this experience with gratitude and purpose. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
Ran into cousin Lexi who teaches Spanish at the MTC
